On our (one and only!) free day in Bali, I knew that I wanted to go a bit far away from Ubud, and I wanted to see the beach! After a lot of research that went into deciding where to go, I eventually picked the province of Uluwatu. The dramatic seaside cliffs, the sea caves, the advanced surfing, the rocky and white sand beaches, all allured me and I knew I had to check this place out.

Uluwatu certainly did not disapoint! If I end up coming back to Bali, i would really love to spend more time here. I enjoyed napping on the beach, exploring sea caves, and swimming in the shallow and rocky water.

To finish off this wonderful day, we saw the Kecak performance as the sun was settin over the Indian Ocean and the Uluwatu Temple. Even though I got my hat stolen from me by the temple monkeys, my spirits couldn’t be dampered. I had such a great time.
