Today, I had a beautiful Balinese breakfast on the terrace which consisted of Balinese cakes, coffee, and fruit. Afterwards, I headed to our class. We had gamelan rehearsal from 9-3. In the morning session, we continued the piece that we were learning and during our breaks I had wonderful Balinese pastries and fruit.
In the afternoon session, we practiced Balinese chanting. This was a totally new experience for me and I had so much fun. It was amazing to see how much joy our instructors had by practicing and sharing their traditions. I had some difficulty with getting adjusted to the chanting but our instructors were so helpful. It made me realize how highly skilled the musicians here are.
